CNC (Computer Numerical Control) has typically replaced or works together with some existing manufacturing processes to try and help to reduce the level of manual intervention required. Most modern drilling machines are now digitally automated using CNC technology. CNC drilling machines are extremely useful for pattern hole drilling, smaller holes and angled holes as they can be programmed to produce repeatedly precise results and so are commonly implemented in industries where mass production takes place.
